S.A. Native's Star Turn Is In the Dark

He has 25 off and off-off Broadway shows and four national commercials to his credit. He recently worked on his first big studio film, too. "Mostly Martha" is a Scott Hicks film ("Snow Falling on Cedars") starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as an uptight restaurant chef. "I play a guy to comes in to apply to be her assistant," Luna said. His scene with the star was improvised.

And he just completed a master class with the LAByrinth Theater Company, whose artistic directors are John Ortiz and Academy Award-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.

The experience prompted him to write a poem about his father, which he performed before his fellow actors. His father listened in on speaker phone while Luna got a standing ovation.
